About this supper
My mum’s Sunday lunch, the way we ate it in Colombo: lots of small curries, sambols and rice, passed down a long table. I cook everything that morning in my flat in Walthamstow and we sit down at about 1:30.
Expect some heat, though nothing is fiery unless you ask for it. Lunch usually runs until 4:30.

I came on my own and ended up staying until six. The black pork curry is the best thing I’ve eaten this year, and Anushka explained every dish as it came out.

I grew up in Colombo and moved to London in 2012. I started cooking Sunday lunch for friends who missed home food, and the table kept getting longer. Now I host most Sundays and the occasional weeknight.

Cancellation
Full refund up to 72 hours before. After that, Anushka refunds you if she can fill your seat.
House rules
Arrive between 12:45 and 1:00pm. There’s a cat in the flat. Shoes off at the door.
Accessibility
Ground-floor flat with one step at the entrance. The bathroom is upstairs.
